2023 Thank You!
Dear Friend,
Thank you for partnering with One Special Christmas.
We’re thrilled about the success of our 2023 charity auction, and we’re most grateful to you for supporting us in this community service. Together we raised over $43,000! Your contribution helped us to impact the lives of seven special families this year!
With your help we were able to help a single mom who has been out of work and struggling to pay rent because of severe health issues. Her 14 year old son and 16 year old daughter had a magical Christmas and were able to celebrate it in their own cozy home. Their mom doesn’t receive disability, and didn’t know how she would pay her bills—much less provide them with the Christmas memories they deserved. She was so thankful and overwhelmed with your generosity.
Another family with three small children has been struggling to keep their head above water all year as the dad has battled stage 4 colon cancer. Not only has it been tough to keep up with normal everyday bills, but their septic tank has been failing. Your generosity helped this family enjoy an unforgettable Christmas with their dad, as well as help make a way for them to stay in their home long-term by allowing the repair of their septic tank.
Also, we were able to assist five other families in various ways! Each child surely felt loved in a BIG WAY and hopefully felt the world was a bit softer after otherwise having such a tough year.
One mom, whose family was blessed, wrote a sweet thank you note to us saying:
“I’m not sure what I’ve ever done to deserve such kindness, but I am more than thankful! I wish I could hug you!!! There is much joy in this day, and much sorrow too. I’m missing my family today and they’re all gone now. This lifted my spirits and let me know God is bigger and so very loving to all his children. You are such an amazing blessing to my family and I. Merry Christmas!”
From the bottom of my heart I want to thank you. It’s folks like you that allow this charity to be ongoing. God has truly blessed us with you!
Sincerely,
Emily Chapman Thompson
