2017 Update
Dear Friend,
Thank you for your support of One Special Christmas this year!
We’re thrilled about the success of our 2017 charity banquet and auction, and we’re most grateful to you for supporting us in this community service. Your contribution helped us to impact the lives of three special families this year!
With your help we were able to help a single mom with stage 4 breast cancer and her 4 children. Her bills had fallen behind because she hasn’t been approved for SSI yet. We were able to give them peace of mind during this hard time by helping to catch up bills, and we were able to give her children some MUCH NEEDED joy by giving them the Christmas of their dreams. Each of her four children were overwhelmed and said that it was “the best Christmas EVER!”
Our second family was the family of a 15 year old boy with leukemia. The family received bad news about his prognosis just before Christmas. They were definitely in need of Christmas cheer. We were able to fulfill the Christmas wish list of this precious boy and his 2 siblings.
The last family has had some difficult years. Several years ago the mom was forced to leave an abusive marriage with her children and start all over on her own. She has worked very hard to keep a roof over their head, but hasn’t been able to afford to provide her children with “extras.” We were able to help them have an amazing Christmas this year as well as help her daughter to be able to pursue her dream of participating in competitive gymnastics. She is naturally talented and won 5 medals in her very first competition on January 20th and qualified for state and regional competitions THANKS TO YOU!
